Book recommendation: ‘The Seven Principles for Making Marriage work’, John Gottman. Even if you’re not currently in a romantic relationship it will help you with all types of relationships – work colleagues, kids etc. The book is based on clinical research observing lots of couples, there are loads of great exercises & insights and it’s an easy read (chapter 1 is a bit American in tone, but it calms down!). It’s on Kindle too so you can read it on the tube. Even better if you and your partner can both read it and work through the exercises together, but still useful if only one of you does. Well worth £6 and a few hours of reading. Pls like/share. Here’s the link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seven-Principles-Making-Marriage-Work/dp/0752837265
